Pesisiran Batik From Indonesia.
The Sawunggaling, Hokokai Batik from Pekalongan, Central Java, and Megamendung Batik from Cirebon, West Java, are featured at the Rodin Museum (Le Musée Rodin) in Paris, France.
The museum, which opened in 1919, is primarily dedicated to the works of the French sculptor Auguste Rodin.
Pesisiran Batik and "The Thinker" (“Le Penseur”) are among the notable pieces at the museum. "The Thinker" is a bronze sculpture by Auguste Rodin, situated atop a stone pedestal.
The work depicts a nude male figure of heroic size sitting on a rock. He is seen leaning over, his right elbow placed on his left thigh, supporting the weight of his chin on the back of his right hand.
The pose conveys deep thought and contemplation, and the statue is often used as a symbol representing philosophy.
